Origins of Ubuntu
Ubuntu is a word that has been bandied around a lot. In African society it is a philosophy that Africans have lived by for millenia, but for most of us, we don't really understand what it means and no one has ever unpacked it for us. In a sense we are in the box and in order to come out of the box, we need to unpack it, to pull it apart. What is Ubuntu? Is it exclusively an African thing? What are its origins?
Fatima Dike, a playwright, theater director, mentor and teacher will explore and unpack the essence behind Ubuntu.  The afternoon will be a celebration of a culture, as part of National Heritage Day.
